I often notice when I tell people, who have never experienced #easternmedicine #healing or a #spiritualawakening , about my miraculous journey to #health and my journey to starting my #wellness businesses…. I can see the confusion 😕 , the cognitive dissonance, and the difficulty they have understanding how someone can go from a successful career in #medicine to now doing this weird “voodoo” or “witchcraft” and really believe in it. I can tell they can’t phantom my story to be real and they often look at my husband to validate that I’m not a quack from the looney bin.
(that’s a story for a different conversation where unfortunately society requires the validation of a man for something that has occurred because a woman is automatically labeled as a little crazy no matter how highly educated or smart or normal they are 🙄)
What Most don’t understand is what I didn’t understand until I personally experienced a journey that is truly #miraculous and #unbelievable.
I was a hard-core believer in the medical system & doctors & science. I was a strong believer until I started working in the medical system and I saw the patients were just numbers to be billed and to be milked for as much money as possible.
And yes some #doctors did care about patients getting better and recovering but not as much as the pressure that they face are above to make a certain quota every month. But even that didn’t open my eyes. When I became a patient of an incurable #disease and then array of #symptoms that no one should have to label, let it alone Live with & endure every day.
But I did. And doctors were not able to help me, no matter how many prescription drugs, medication, exploratory surgeries ,imaging, radiation, IV meds, and hospitalizations… nothing.
